The Rotary Club of Rochester SW sponsored the 3rd Annual ROC River Ride on September 14, 2024. Over 120 cyclists participated in our signature event. We had a beautiful day and are grateful to our participants, sponsors, partners, artists and volunteers!
The Rochester 2024 Fringe Festival again featured Rotary Club of Rochester Southwest's ROC River Ride September 14, 2024. Over 120 riders joined ride ambassadors in Genesee Valley Park/Erie Canal Waterways to listen and observe a variety of performers/artists. Participants rode a 3, 7 or 10 mile course. Bicyclists were entertained by DJ Denaro McCray, Trish Corcoran (Haudeneshone Confederacy), Shamere Lawrence (Teen Empowerment), Anne Harris Wilcox and her dance troupe, Bomba Yague (Puerto Rican Dance), Wade Norwood (local historian), Almeta Whitis (storyteller), Still One Left (musicians). A collection of visual art was also displayed along the routes by House of Mercy artists.
