MLK Luminary Event 2026

The Rotary Club of Rochester-Southwest invites you to light up our community in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on January 19, 2026.  We will meet at Staybridge Suites Hotel at 5:00 pm where we will have luminary supplies available, which we will place out at Brooks Landing and across the pedestrian foot bridge over the Genesee River. The goal is to light up the community as a sign of hope, sanctuary, peace and solidarity with Dr. King’s Vision of the Beloved Community.

For those who would like to take luminaries to place outside their homes, the suggested donation for luminaries is $5 to benefit community-building projects in southwest Rochester.
