For the past two years, the Rotary Club of Rochester Southwest has been a our club has been co-sponsor the Breaking the Bubble Community Conversation Series that strives to open conversations within the community about different topics.
On Thursday, February 22, the managers of the Westside Farmers Market, Jackie Farrell and Jessica DiSalvo, discussed the history of the market, the resources the it offers, and how the market has fostered community in Rochester. They shared with the audience that in addition to providing fresh produce from within a 100-mile radius, the Westside Farmers Market offers bicycle repairs, educational and cultural activities, and special events (strawberry festival, corn festival, apple festival, and pumpkin festival) while bringing people together and providing a space to relax in the middle of an urban environment.
 
Visit the market in the parking lot of St. Monica Church, 831 Genesee Street, Rochester, NY 14619, Tuesdays 4-7pm, June-October. Opening day for 2024 is June 4!
